Galore Reports 54 Metres of 0.97 Grams Gold at El Alamo

-- Posted Wednesday, 1 June 2011 | | Disqus

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 1, 2011) - Galore Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GRI) announces final results from its trenching program at El Alamo, located at the northern end of the Dos Santos property in Zacatecas State, Mexico. This news release reports analytical results for all 512 continuous chip and channel rock samples from 10 trenches totaling 1,020 in length. Samples were taken across steeply dipping, altered limestone beds in a north-south direction. The best results occur within irregular zones of carbonate-hosted, silicified breccia, and zones of silicification, which are believed to be the chimneys of a larger manto system at depth. Highlights from the trenching program include:

Trench 1A: 1.6 g/t gold over 34 m (including 1.9 g/t gold over 28 m; 2.6 g/t gold over 12 m)

Trench 2A: 4.2 g/t gold over 10 m (including 5.1 g/t gold over 8 m; and 14.7 g/t gold over 2 m)

Trench 2: 0.97 g/t gold over 54 m (including 8.4 g/t gold over 4 m; 2.4 g/t gold over 2 m)

Trench 5A: 3.6 g/t gold over 6 m (including 10.4 g/t gold over 2 m) and: 0.4 g/t gold over 22 m

(including 1.2 g/t gold over 2 m)

Trench 3: 38 g/t gold over 2 m

Trench 1: 2.6 g/t gold over 4 m

The Company is planning an immediate follow-up exploration program at El Alamo, which will include drilling, geophysics and expansion of the trenches that ended in mineralization.

With the exception of a small number of confirmation samples, all samples cover a horizontal distance of 2 metres. Results are presented for trenches located from west to east along El Alamo ridge. Locations of these trenches, highlights and distribution of gold concentrations in bedrock are presented in the accompanying figure and tables. The tables show selected results, including previously reported results and average concentrations of gold over larger distances. All gold analyses in this news release were converted from parts per billion (ppb) to grams/tonne gold (g/t Au). Gold mineralization is associated with other elements, of which silver (Ag), arsenic (As), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) are also included with the gold results.

Trench 5:

Samples in this trench returned geochemically anomalous concentrations of gold up to 91ppb.

Trench 3A:

No significant concentrations of gold were detected in this trench.

Trench 4:

Trench 4 returned geochemically anomalous concentrations of gold, lead, zinc and arsenic, including a ten-metre interval of 13 to 22 ppb gold with weakly anomalous arsenic, lead and zinc. A second, two metre interval returned 19 ppb gold, 3.7 g/t silver, 704 ppm arsenic and 0.42% lead.

Samples were analyzed at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver by Aqua-Regia digestion and ICP-MS (1DX30) on a 30-gram sample. Analyses were reported in ppb gold by the laboratory and are reported in this news release in the converted format of grams per tonne to enable the reader to compare these results with other gold projects using this format.

The Dos Santos exploration program is managed by Ing. Octavio Gonzalez, Galore's Vice-President Exploration for Mexico.
