Galore Resources Inc.: Gold Mineralization at El Alamo Extended-Trenching Intersects 5.1 Grams of Gold Over 8 Metres

-- Posted Wednesday, 4 May 2011 | | Source: GoldSeek.com

Vancouver, BC: Galore Resources Inc. (GRI-TSX-V, GALOF.PK) announces additional encouraging gold results from the trenching program at El Álamo, located at the northern end of the Dos Santos property in Zacatecas State, Mexico.  Field crews recently completed 1,020 metres of trenching in 10 trenches.  The El Álamo claim is located approximately 14 kilometres north from the Company’s recently completed drill-program at La Palma.

The Company reports that an additional 274 analyses from the 100% owned El Álamo claim have been received.  Most of the samples contain anomalous concentrations of gold and gold pathfinder elements.  This news release summarizes all significant results to date.  The best results occur within irregular zones of carbonate-hosted, silicified breccia and zones of silicification, which are believed to be the chimneys of a larger manto system at depth.  Systematic continuous channel and chip samples were taken across steeply dipping altered limestone beds in a north-south direction.  With the exception of a small number of repeat samples, all samples cover a horizontal distance of two metres.

The following tables show selected results to date.  Sample numbers from previously reported results are indicated with a grey background.

       Trench 1A: 1.9 g/t gold over 28 metres

                  Trench 1: 2.6 g/t gold over 4 metres

                  Trench 2: 2.4 g/t gold over 2 m; 1.9 g/t over 2 m and 8.4 g/t over 4 m

                  Trench 2A: 5.1 g/t gold over 8 metres

                  Trench 3: 38.2 g/t over 2 metres

*Sample 526112 was re-sampled over two, one-metre intervals.  These samples were previously mistakenly reported as prospecting samples in a news release dated Dec. 22, 2010.

                   Trench 5A:  10.4 g/t over 2 metres and 1.2 g/t over 2 metres

Samples were analyzed at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver by Aqua- Regia digestion and ICP-MS (1DX30) on a 30-gram sample. Sample results are reported in ppb gold. Analyses in this news release were converted to grams per tonne gold to provide a comparison to other gold projects using this format.

Most of the remaining samples are anomalous in gold, arsenic, antimony, barium, mercury, and thallium.  Additional samples have been sent for analysis and will be announced when assays are received.

“We are very pleased with the systematic trenching program at El Álamo as it continues to show promising gold grades. We are now planning a drill program at El Álamo that may include a geophysical survey to further refine the drill targets,” said Michael Byrne, President of Galore.

The Dos Santos exploration program is managed by Ing. Octavio González, Galore's Vice-President Exploration for Mexico. Uwe Schmidt, P.Geo., Vice-President Exploration and Galore's Qualified Person as defined by Canada's National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for supervising the Dos Santos program.

Galore Resources is a British Columbia-based exploration company that has assembled a leading group of industry professionals to acquire and explore for promising deposits in Mexico and British Columbia.
