The Metals:
Gold jumped up to $1627.84 by a little before 8:30AM EST before it dropped back to $1610.33 in the next hour of trade, but it then rallied back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 0.34%. Silver slumped to as low as $28.21 before it also rebounded, but it still ended with a loss of 0.62%.
Euro gold remained at about €1288, platinum gained $30 to $1490.50, and copper gained 4 cents to about $3.36.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended with slight gains.

Oil jumped higher after OPEC agreed to keep its oil production ceiling unchanged.
The U.S. dollar index fell as euro rose along with the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P on “rising hopes that the Greek elections this weekend will not put Greece on a path to exit the euro.”
Treasuries remained lower after today’s $13 billion 30-year note auction sold at a high yield of 2.72% with a bid to cover of 2.4.
Among the big names making news in the market today were MF Global, Honda, Nokia, Manchester United, Facebook, and Microsoft.
