The Metals:
Gold fell $13 to $1459.60 at about 9:30AM EST before it rebounded to about $1472.00 in the next three and half hour of trade, but it then fell to a new session low of $1453.30 in afternoon trade and ended with a loss of 1.11%. Silver slipped to as low as $23.56 and ended with a loss of 0.92%.
Euro gold fell to about €1117, platinum gained $5.50 to $1502, and copper fell four cents to about $3.32.
Gold and silver equities opened up about 2% lower before they rose to see almost 2% gains by midday, but they then fell back off into the close and ended back near their opening lows.

Oil ended slightly lower as the U.S. dollar index jumped higher on today’s better than expected jobs data that reignited talk about the fed possibly scaling back its stimulative measures.
Treasuries remained lower after today’s $16 billion 30-year note auction sold at a yield of 2.98% with a bid to cover of 2.53.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P waffled between modest gains and losses on mixed earnings reports.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Ford, Green Mountain, Monster Beverage, Fannie Mae, Tesla, JPMorgan, and BofA.
