Oil erased early gains as the U.S. dollar index rose on better than expected economic data that sent treasuries lower and the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P higher throughout the morning, but stocks then pared their gains in the last couple of hours of trade and the dollar turned lower after some mixed remarks from the FT about what Bernanke may say at the conclusion of this Wednesday’s fed meeting.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Airbus, Apple, ICE and NYSE, Rockwood and Cinven, and Johnson & Johnson.
