Gold fell $7.50 to $1296.00 by early afternoon in New York before it bounced back higher, but it still ended with a loss of 0.54%. Silver slipped to as low as $19.791 and ended with a loss of 0.3%.
Euro gold fell to about €943, platinum lost $17.30 to $1425.70, and copper climbed a couple of cents to about $3.04.
Gold and silver equities traded over 1% higher for most of the morning before they fell to see slight losses by early afternoon and then bounced back higher at times, but they still ended modestly lower on the day.
Tomorrow at 10AM EST brings JOLTS - Job Openings data for February.

Oil fell after Libyan rebels handed over control of key oil ports and cleared the way for them to reopen.
The U.S. dollar index dropped as the euro rose after ECB members made comments suggesting that more extensive stimulative measures may not be needed.
Treasuries saw decent gains as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P traded notably lower ahead of this week’s start to first quarter earnings reports.
