The Metals:
Gold edged down to $1314.22 at about 4:30AM EST before it rallied back to $1323.21 in the next few hours of trade, but it then dropped back down to $1315.61 in New York and ended with a loss of 0.015%. Silver slipped to $19.932 before it rallied back to $20.132, but it also fell back again off in New York and ended with a loss of 0.5%.
Euro gold remained at about €949, platinum gained $1 to $1452, and copper remained at about $3.04.
Gold and silver equities saw slight gains at the open, but they then fell back off for most of the rest of trade and ended with about 1.5% losses.

Oil ended slightly higher along with the U.S. dollar index on decent economic data.
Treasuries saw decent gains as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P fell again on poor earnings reports.
Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Coldwater Creek, GM, Samsung, Wells Fargo, and JPMorgan.
