The Metals:
Gold climbed to $1329.58 in Asia before it fell back to $1321.11 in London and then rose to a new session high of $1331.01 by late morning in New York, but it then fell back off a bit midday and ended with a gain of just 0.68%. Silver rose to as high as $20.136 in Asia before it dropped back to $19.74 and then also rallied back higher, but it ended with a gain of just 0.2%.
Euro gold jumped to about €960, platinum gained $9 to $1461, and copper remained at about $3.04.
Gold and silver equities rose over 1% at the open and over 2% by late morning before they fell back off in late trade, but they still ended with over 1% gains.

Oil climbed higher on increased worries about rising tensions in Ukraine.
The U.S. dollar index rose on decent economic data while the euro fell on more dovish comments from ECB president Draghi.
Treasuries fell as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P saw decent gains on optimism about the economy.
Among the big names making news in the market today were TIAA-CREF, Endurance, Citigroup, CME Group, and Glencore.
