Gold edged up to $1309.13 in Asia before it dropped down to $1301.77 by a little after 9AM EST and then bounced back higher at times, but it still ended with a loss of 0.18%. Silver slipped to as low as $20.517 and ended with a loss of 0.58%.
Euro gold fell to about €972, platinum gained $13 to $1485, and copper remained at about $3.24.
Gold and silver equities climbed higher in afternoon trade and ended with modest gains.

Tomorrow brings the Case-Shiller 20-city Index and Consumer Confidence.

Oil saw slight losses on relatively calm geopolitical tensions.
The U.S. dollar index traded mostly modestly lower along with treasuries ahead of this week’s more significant economic data.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P waffled near unchanged and ended mixed on uncertainty about the week ahead.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Microsoft, Zillow and Trulia, Dollar Tree and Dollar Stores, Virgin America, Starkey, and Lloyds.
