Gold dropped $9.77 to $1209.13 by a little after 8AM EST, but it then bounced back higher after the release of today’s fed minutes and ended with a loss of just 0.54%. Silver rose to as high as $16.645 and ended with a gain of 0.06%.
Euro gold remained at about €1024, platinum lost $2 to $1216, and copper remained at about $2.78.
Gold and silver equities fell as much as 3% at the open before they rose to see slight gains by late morning, but they then edged back lower at times and ended with about 1.5% losses.

Oil bounced back from recent notable losses.
The U.S. dollar rose as the euro fell after it was reported that Eurozone consumer prices fell by a worse than expected 0.2%.
Treasuries traded mixed as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P rose over 1% on decent economic data.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Lenovo, Monsanto, and Lilly.
