Gold fell $24.57 to $1203.93 by early afternoon in New York before it bounced back higher in the last four hours of trade, but it still ended with a loss of 1.63%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.304 and ended with a loss of 4.51%.
Euro gold fell to about €1058, platinum lost $30 to $1174, and coper fell a couple of cents to about $2.58.
Gold and silver equities fell about 2.5% in the first hour of trade and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Oil edged lower on concerns that recent problems in Ukraine and Greece will dent demand further.
The U.S. dollar fell as the euro rose on decent economic reports.
Treasuries dropped as yields jumped higher on growing expectations that the fed may move towards raising interest rates soon.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P saw slight losses for most of the morning before they rose midday on hopes that a debt deal will be reached with Greece, but they still ended near unchanged on the day.
