The Metals:
Gold climbed $11.75 to $1222.95 at about 7:30AM EST before it fell back off in New York, but it ended with a loss of just 0.31%. Silver rose to as high as $16.795 and ended with a loss of 0.37%.
Euro gold rose to about €1063, platinum lost $5 to $1166, and copper remained at about $2.62.
Gold and silver equities drifted lower for most of trade and ended with over 2% losses.

Oil pared notable early losses after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories rose 7.7 million barrels, gasoline inventories rose 500,000 barrels, and distillates fell 3.8 million barrels.
The U.S. dollar rose as the euro fell on worries about Greece.
Treasuries fell on decent economic data.
The Dow and S&P saw slight losses while the Nasdaq rose on mixed earnings reports.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Priceline, Wal-Mart, AmEx, Pinterest, and Sears.
