Gold edged down to $1179.38 in late Asian trade, but it then rallied back higher in London and New York and ended near its late session high of $1191.50 with a gain of 0.625%. Silver rose to as high as $17.092 and ended with a gain of 1.97%.
Euro gold fell to about €1086, platinum gained $11 to $1146, and copper jumped 13 cents to about $2.88.
Gold and silver equities rose about 2% by midmorning and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow brings CPI, the FHFA Housing Price Index, and New Home Sales.

Oil rose almost 2% as the U.S. dollar fell markedly on doubts over when the fed may raise interest rates.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P waffled near unchanged and ended slightly lower.
