The Markets:

Charts Courtesy of http://finance.yahoo.com/

Oil rose another 4.5% on news that Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies began air strikes in Yemen.

The U.S. dollar ended decently higher in mixed trade as the yen and Swiss franc rose on safe haven buying.

Treasuries extended lower after today’s $29 billion 7-year note auction sold at yield 1.792% with bid to cover of just 2.32, which is the lowest since May 2009.  This follows yesterday’s weak demand for the Treasury's $35 billion sale of five-year notes.

The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P traded mostly slightly lower on worries about earnings, valuations, and interest rates.

Among the big names making news in the market today were Lululemon, SanDisk, Winnebago, Scholastic, American Apparel, and RadioShack.
