The Metals:
Gold edged up to $1205.16 in Asia before it fell back to $1192.69 by a little before 10AM EST, but it then bounced back higher into midday and ended with a loss of just 0.39%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.864 and ended with a loss of 0.59%.
Euro gold fell to about €1100, platinum lost $15 to $1134, and copper fell 5 cents to about $2.76.
Gold and silver equities fell over 2% in the first 20 minutes of trade, but they then rallied back higher in early afternoon trade and ended with less than 1% losses.

Next week’s economic highlights include Personal Income and Spending, Core PCE Prices, and Pending Home Sales on Monday, the Case-Shiller 20-city Index, Chicago PMI, and Consumer Confidence on Tuesday, ADP Employment, the ISM Index, and Construction Spending on Wednesday, Initial Jobless Claims, the Trade Balance, and Factory Orders on Thursday, and March’s jobs data on Friday.
