The Metals:
Gold gained $7.29 to $1232.19 at about 2:30AM EST before it fell back to $1222.83 in the next 8 hours of trade, but it then bounced back higher in late morning New York trade and ended with a gain of 0.03%. Silver rose to as high as $17.771 and ended with a gain of 0.86%.
Euro gold rose to about €1083, platinum gained $8 to $1172, and copper fell 2 cents to about $2.91.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended slightly lower.

Oil ended slightly lower in mixed trade as signs of a recovery in US shale production were offset by geopolitical fears.
The U.S. dollar climbed about 1% higher as the euro fell markedly on worries about Greece.
Treasuries fell as the Dow and S&P rose to new record highs on easing concerns about interest rates.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Endo, Scotiabank, Bank of America, and Intel.
