The Metals:
Gold fell to as low as $1185.78 in early morning New York trade before it bounced back higher at times, but it still ended with a loss of 1.6%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.668 and ended with a loss of 2.11%.
Euro gold fell to about €1092, platinum lost $24 to $1122, and copper fell 5 cents to about $2.78.
Gold and silver equities fell roughly 3% by midmorning and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Oil fell almost 3% as the U.S. dollar jumped nearly 1% higher on better than expected economic data.
Treasuries rose as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P dropped over 1% on worries about future changes in fed policy.
Among the big names making news in the market today were TD, FCA, EMC, TWC, and Ford.
