The Metals:
Gold dipped $3.21 to $1185.29 by a little after 8AM EST before it bounced back to $1193.22 in the next couple of hours of trade and then chopped back lower into midday, but it still ended with a gain of 0.1%. Silver rose to as high as $16.816 and ended with a gain of 0.18%.
Euro gold fell to about €1083, platinum lost $5 to $1108, and copper fell a few cents to about $2.74.
Gold and silver equities traded mostly slightly higher and ended mixed.
