The Metals:
Gold fell $10.07 to $1176.13 by a little after 9:30AM EST before it bounced back higher into the close, but it still ended with a loss of 0.38%. Silver slipped to as low as $15.895 and ended with a loss of 0.56%.
Euro gold remained at about €1051, platinum lost $7 to $1077, and copper fell a few cents to about $2.62.
Gold and silver equities fell over 1% by midmorning and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

The U.S. dollar saw modest gains as the euro fell on continued concerns about Greece that sent treasuries higher.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P climbed higher on deal making talk.
