The Metals:
Gold fell $8.86 to $1176.24 in early New York trade before it bounced back higher at times, but it still ended with a loss of 0.63%. Silver slipped to as low as $15.761 and ended with a loss of 2.28%.
Euro gold rose to about €1055, platinum gained $7 to $1065, and copper climbed 4 cents to about $2.62.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended mixed.

Oil rose on geopolitical tensions and speculation about tomorrow’s inventory report.
The U.S. dollar climbed over 1% higher as the euro fell on continued uncertainty about a deal for Greece.
Treasuries dropped on expectations for the fed to raise interest rates at least once this year.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P held near unchanged on mixed signals about Greece and interest rates.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Verizon, Syngenta, Takata, Blackberry, and 3M.
