The Metals:
Gold edged up to $1180.10 at about 6AM EST before it fell back to $1171.17 in London and then bounced back higher in New York, but it still ended with a loss of 0.27%. Silver bounced back to $15.935 and ended with a gain of 0.44%.
Euro gold fell to about €1049, platinum gained $8 to $1073, and copper remained at about $2.62.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended mixed.

Oil fell after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories fell 4.9 million barrels, gasoline inventories rose 700,000 barrels, and distillates rose 1.8 million barrels.
The U.S. dollar traded mixed while treasuries rose on continued uncertainty about a deal for Greece that sent the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P almost 1% lower.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Wal-Mart, Facebook, BlackRock, Samsung, and Lennar.
