The Metals:
Gold fell $11.63 to $1121.97 at about 8:45AM EST before it bounced back higher at times, but it still ended with a loss of 0.72%. Silver slipped to as low as $14.577 before it jumped up to $14.953 and then fell back off, but it ended at just unchanged on the day.
Euro gold rose to about €1011, platinum lost $10 to $1002, and copper climbed 5 cents to about $2.38.
Gold and silver equities fell over 1% at the open before they rose to see as much as 3% gains about 45 minutes into trade, but they then drifted back lower into the close and ended near their opening lows.

Oil rose on expectations for further stimulus measures by the ECB that sent the euro lower and the U.S. dollar higher along with treasuries.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P erased notable early gains and ended mixed on worries about tomorrow’s jobs data.
Among the big names making news in the market today were B&G, Verizon, Cerberus, and Lloyds.
