Gold edged up to $1121.84 in Asia before it dropped back to $1115.51 in London, but it then popped up to $1133.36 after today’s fed statement and ended with a gain of 1.04%. Silver surged to as high $15.254 and ended with a gain of 1.34%.
Euro gold fell to about €989, platinum lost $5.50 to $981, and copper climbed slightly to about $2.47.
Gold and silver equities gained about 3% after today’s fed statement and ended near their highs of the session.

Oil pared early losses, the U.S. dollar dropped, and treasuries climbed higher after today’s fed statement sent the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P both higher and lower at times, but stocks ultimately ended near unchanged on the day.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Altice, GM, BofA, and Jefferies.
