Gold saw slight losses in Asia, but it then climbed to as high as $1069.78 in New York and ended with a gain of 0.6%. Silver rose to as high as $14.199 in London, but it then chopped back lower in New York and ended with a loss of 0.07%.
Euro gold rose to about €1008, platinum lost $5 to $828, and copper fell slightly to about $2.05.
Gold and silver equities rose roughly 2% by midmorning and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Oil ended slightly lower in mixed trade ahead of this week’s OPEC meeting.
The U.S. dollar index saw slight gains as the euro fell ahead of this week’s ECB meeting.
Treasuries rose as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P traded mostly lower on policy uncertainty.
