The Metals:
Gold climbed $15.19 to $1327.59 by late morning in New York before it chopped back lower at times, but is still ended with a gain of 0.4%. Silver surged to as high as $18.444 and ended with a gain of 2.7%.
Euro gold rose to about €1087, platinum jumped $30 to $1005, and copper climbed a penny to about $2.19.
Gold and silver equities rose about 3% by midday and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Oil gained over 4% after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories fell 4.1 million barrels, gasoline inventories rose 1.4 million barrels, and distillates fell 1.8 million barrels.
The U.S. dollar index fell with treasuries as the euro and pound rose along with the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P again on thoughts that Britain’s vote to quit the European Union will encourage central banks to continue to stimulate the global economy.
