Gold fell $13.18 to $1319.92 by late morning in New York before it bounced back higher into the close, but is still ended with a loss of 0.72%. Silver slipped to as low as $19.562 and ended with a loss of 1.06%.
Euro gold fell to about €1206, platinum lost $21 to $1079, and copper fell a couple of cents to about $2.24.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended mixed.

Next week’s economic highlights include the Case-Shiller 20-city Index, Consumer Confidence, and New Home Sales on Monday, Durable Goods Orders, Pending Home Sales, and a FOMC Rate Decision on Wednesday, Initial Jobless Claims and International Trade in Goods on Thursday, and GDP, the Employment Cost Index, Chicago PMI, and Michigan Sentiment on Friday.

Oil fell over 1% as the U.S. dollar index rose after the pound fell on poor economic data from the UK that raised expectations for a rate cut from the Bank of England.
Treasuries held near unchanged as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P turned morning losses into afternoon gains on mixed earnings reports.
Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Starbucks, Papa John’s, Chipotle, GE, Verizon, and American Airlines.
