Gold gained $16.15 to $1197.55 in Asia before it fell back to $1183.24 by a little after 9:30AM EST, but it then rallied back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 1.02%. Silver rose to as high as $16.856 and ended with a gain of 0.85%.
Euro gold rose to about €1125, platinum gained $20 to $922, and copper fell slightly to about $2.66.
Gold and silver equities rose throughout most of the day and ended with about 4% gains.

Oil rose over 2% on continued talks over a possible OPEC production deal.
The U.S. dollar index traded mostly lower and treasuries rose as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P dropped on waning confidence over what a Trump administration will bring.
