Gold fell $19.72 to $1122.88 in late morning New York trade before it bounced back higher in early afternoon trade, but it still ended with a loss of 1.33%. Silver slipped to as low as $15.879 and ended with a loss of 4.76%.
Euro gold fell to about €1083, platinum lost $28.50 to $892.50, and copper remained at about $2.59.
Gold and silver equities fell roughly 5% in the first 5 minutes of trade and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

Oil ended slightly lower in mixed trade as the U.S. dollar index rose markedly and treasuries fell further in continued reaction to the fed’s more aggressive attitude towards future interest rate hikes.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P followed financial stocks higher.
Among the big names making news in the market today were VW, Exxon, Nestle, Fox, Comcast, and Yahoo.
