Gold fell $14.50 to $1237.10 at about 9AM EST before it climbed back to $1250.50 in early afternoon trade and then chopped back lower, but it ended with a loss of just 0.13%. Silver slipped to as low as $18.265 before it bounced back to $18.459 and then also fell back off, but it still ended with a gain of 0.33%.
Euro gold rose to about €1185, platinum lost $9.70 to $1012.30, and copper climbed a couple of cents to about $2.73.
Gold and silver equities fell about 2% at the open, but they then rallied back higher for most of the rest of trade and ended with modest gains.

Oil turned slightly lower after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories rose 1.5 million barrels, gasoline inventories fell 500,000 barrels, and distillates fell 900,000 barrels.
The U.S. dollar index rose and treasuries fell on growing expectations for a fed rate hike in two weeks.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P jumped to new record highs on Trump’s pro-growth policies.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Weight Watchers, Best Buy, BlackRock, GM, Ford, Wells Fargo, Uber, and Snapchat.
