The Metals:
Gold fell $8.20 to $1261.30 at about 10AM EST before it rallied back higher in the next couple of hours of trade, but it then drifted back lower into the close and ended with a loss of 0.35%. Silver slipped to as low as $17.262 and ended with a loss of 1.09%.
Euro gold fell to about €1163, platinum lost $7 to $941, and copper remained at about $2.60.
Gold and silver equities fell roughly 3% by midmorning before they bounced back higher at times, but they still ended with about 2% losses on the day.

The Markets:

Oil dropped over 1% after a restart of two key oilfields in Libya added to oversupply concerns.
The U.S. dollar index rose as the euro fell after “European Central Bank President Mario Draghi emphasized that the eurozone’s economic outlook remains uncertain.”
Treasuries saw slight gains as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P traded mixed on policy uncertainty.
Among the big names making news in the market today were KKR, Dow Chemical, Total, Lazard, GrubHub, AstraZeneca, Nintendo, U.S. Steel, Deutsche Bank, Samsung, Procter & Gamble, Ford, Netflix, and Under Armour.
