The Metals:
Gold fell $7.60 to $1300.60 in Asia and saw slight losses for most of trade in London, but it then steadily rose during all of the session in New York and ended at its last-minute high of $1323.40 and ended with a gain of 1.16%. Silver climbed to as high as $17.619 and ended with a gain of 1.15%.
Euro gold rose to about €1112, platinum gained $10.50 to $996, and copper climbed a couple of cents to about $3.08.
Gold and silver equities climbed higher throughout most of trade and ended with about 2% gains.

Tomorrow brings August's jobs data, the PMI Manufacturing Index, the ISM Manufacturing Index, Construction Spending, and Consumer Sentiment.
The Markets:
Oil rose almost 3% on reduced refining capacity.
The U.S. dollar index erased early gains and ended lower “after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin didn’t promote a strong-dollar policy as is traditional for Treasury officials, suggesting a weaker buck may be good for trade.”
Treasuries saw slight gains on mixed economic data that sent the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P higher.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Campbell, Disney, Wells Fargo, Novartis, Bitcoin, and GE.
