The Metals:
Gold fell $13.20 to $1282.70 in early New York trade before it bounced back higher at times, but it still ended with a loss of 0.93%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.679 and ended with a loss of 0.53%.
Euro gold fell to about €1093, platinum lost $4 to $919, and copper climbed a penny to about $2.92.
Gold and silver equities fell over 1% at the open and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

The Markets:
Oil ended modestly higher after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories fell 1.8 million barrels, gasoline inventories rose 1.1 million barrels, and distillates fell 800,000 barrels.
The U.S. dollar index rose and treasuries fell as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P jumped higher on Trump’s tax plan.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Bitcoin, Playbuzz, J.P. Morgan, Bank of America, and Monsanto.
