The Metals:
Gold gained $18.90 to as high as $1338.50 in late morning New York trade before it edged back lower into the close, but it still ended with a gain of 1.07%. Silver rose to as high as $16.858 and ended with a gain of 1.89%.
Euro gold rose to about €1075, platinum gained $8 to $966, and copper climbed 4 cents to about $3.15.
Gold and silver equities rose over 2% in the first hour of trade and remained near that level for the rest of the day.

The Markets:
Oil held near unchanged ahead of tomorrow’s supply data.
The U.S. dollar index fell as traders shifted to higher-yielding currencies after talks between North and South Korea encouraged a move toward emerging markets.
Treasuries found modest gains as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P waffled near unchanged on political uncertainty.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Bumble, Just Eat, Aramco, Broadcom, Target, and PayPal.
