The Metals:
Gold fell $12.50 to $1319.00 by a little after 8AM EST before it chopped back higher in New York, but it still ended with a loss of 0.63%. Silver slipped to as low as $16.503 and ended with a loss of 1.02%.
Euro gold fell to about €1087, platinum lost $14 to $915, and copper dropped a penny to about $3.13.
Gold and silver equities traded mostly slightly lower and ended with modest losses.

Tomorrow brings Initial Jobless Claims, Durable Goods Orders, International Trade in Goods, and Wholesale Inventories.
The Markets:
Oil ended modestly higher in mixed trade after the Energy Information Administration reported that crude inventories rose 2.2 million barrels, gasoline inventories rose 800,000 barrels, and distillates fell 2.6 million barrels.
The U.S. dollar index resumed its march higher and treasuries fell as interest rates continued to rise on inflation uncertainty.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P held near unchanged on mixed earnings reports.
Among the big names making news in the market today were LendingClub, Bosch, Comcast, Chevron, Herbalife, and GE.
