The Metals:
Gold dipped to $1294.20 in Asia before it bounced back to $1300.50 in London and then drifted in New York, but it still ended with a gain of 0.12%. Silver chopped between $16.622 and $16.822 and ended with a gain of 0.42%.
Euro gold rose above €1103, platinum gained $8 to $904, and copper climbed 3 cents to about $3.30.
Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended mixed.
The Economy:

The Markets:
Oil ended slightly lower on mixed signals about OPEC’s future policy.
The U.S. dollar index found slight gains on uneasiness about this weekend’s G7 summit.
Treasuries edged lower as the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P reversed morning losses to end higher on hopes for progress in trade talks.
Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Apple, Comcast, Tesla, Airbus, Verizon, and McDonald's.
