The Metals:

 

Gold gained $8.60 to $1208.80 in Asia, but it then chopped back lower in London and New York and ended with a loss of 0.09%. Silver slipped to as low as $14.487 and ended with a loss of 0.34%.

 

Euro gold rose above €1033, platinum lost $7 to $783, and copper dropped a few cents to about $2.64.

 

Gold and silver equities waffled near unchanged and ended slightly lower.

The Markets:

 

Oil fell as the U.S. dollar index rose and treasuries traded mixed on uncertainty over trade talks that held the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P near unchanged.

 

Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Lululemon, Big Lots, Coca-Cola, Cronos, and Amazon.
