The Metals:
Gold fell $3.80 to $1218.10 in Asia, but it then rallied back higher in London and New York and ended near its early afternoon high of $1225.20 with a gain of 0.11%. Silver chopped between $14.35 and $14.44 and ended with a gain of 0.07%.
Euro gold fell to about €1068, platinum gained $7 to $850, and copper remained at about $2.80
Gold and silver equities traded mostly slightly higher and ended mixed.

The Markets:
Oil turned higher on “news that the European Union backs a decision by the French government to sanction Iran nationals linked to a bomb plot in France.”
The U.S. dollar index fell and treasuries rose while the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P dropped roughly 2% on renewed concerns about trade issues with China.
