The Metals:
Gold fell $7.20 to $1216.70 by midmorning in New York, but it then rallied back higher for most of the rest of trade and ended with a loss of just 0.18%. Silver slipped to as low as $14.052 before it also rebounded, but it still ended with a loss of 0.91%.
Euro gold climbed above €1079, platinum lost $21 to $796, and copper remained at about $2.78.
Gold and silver equities traded mostly slightly lower and ended with modest losses.

The Markets:
Oil fell 1% on continued talk over possible output cuts.
The U.S. dollar index rose as the euro and pound fell again on Brexit concerns.
Treasuries climbed higher on the outlook for a more flexible fed.
The Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P ultimately rose on hopes for progress in trade talks at G20 this weekend.
Among the big names making news in the market Friday were Deutsche Bank, GM, GE, and Marriott.
