The Metals:
Gold gained $4.10 to $1284.10 in London before it dipped back under unchanged a few times in New York, but it ultimately bounced back higher into the close and ended with a gain of 0.17%. Silver rose to as high as $15.51 and ended with a gain of 0.65%.
Euro gold rose above €1119, platinum gained $5 to $793, and copper fell 4 cents to about $2.64.
Gold and silver equities fell roughly 1% at the open, but they then reversed to find gains by late morning and ended about 1.5% higher on the day.
The Economy:

Wednesday brings Markit manufacturing PMI.
The Markets:
Oil ended slightly higher on signs of progress in trade talks.
The U.S. dollar index fell on growing risk appetite that sent treasuries higher along with the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P.
Among the big names making news in the market today were Apple, Epic Games, and Tesla.
